Bachelor of Aeronautical Engineering with Honours (Johor Bahru)

Course Overview

The Bachelor of Aeronautical Engineering with Honours at UTM (Universiti Teknologi Malaysia) is taught by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at UTM Johor Bahru. It is a full-time, face-to-face program with a study period of four to six years and 136 credits. It is offered as a specialisation within mechanical engineering and covers five areas: aerodynamics, aircraft structure, flight dynamics and control, propulsion, and aircraft design. Students also complete a 12-week industrial placement during a semester break. UTM first offered the course in the 1980/81 session, running it jointly with the Royal Malaysian Air Force (TUDM). Graduates qualify as engineers in mechanical engineering as well as in the aeronautics specialisation.

Entry Requirements

• A Senior High School Certificate, Senior Secondary School certificate, or an equivalent pre-university qualification from a government school, with at least 12 years of study from primary to higher secondary level.

• Taking part in the bridging program organised by the university.

• English proficiency of at least MUET Band 3, IELTS 5.5, or a TOEFL iBT score of 46.

• Passing the health requirements.
