Master of Maritime Operations and Management

Course Overview

The Master’s program at UniKL MIMET was launched in response to growing demand for advanced education in the maritime field, and it marks an important step in the institution’s academic offerings. Since it began in 2019, the program has given postgraduate students coursework-based opportunities to specialize in disciplines central to maritime operations: Electrical and Electronics, Industrial Automation, Management, Manufacturing, and Mechanical Engineering. This expansion supports the institution’s commitment to developing local maritime talent, in line with the Malaysia Shipping Masterplan 2017-2022. By offering coursework shaped around industry needs, UniKL MIMET aims to give graduates the specialized skills and knowledge to drive innovation and sustain growth in Malaysia’s shipping sector.

Entry Requirements

• Academic qualification: A bachelor’s degree (Level 6, Malaysian Qualifications Framework, MQF) or an equivalent qualification, with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 in a related field.

• Other qualifications (such as UEC, Foundation, or STAM): Contact the university’s education consultants, or submit an application so your qualifications can be assessed for admission.
