Foundation in Science and Technology

Course Overview

The Foundation in Science and Technology at Multimedia University (MMU) is a pre-university programme designed to prepare students for undergraduate studies in science, technology, engineering, and computing-related disciplines. The programme provides a solid academic foundation by developing essential scientific knowledge, technical competencies, and problem-solving skills required for success in higher education and the rapidly evolving technology-driven world.

The curriculum introduces students to fundamental concepts in mathematics, science, information technology, and related disciplines while encouraging analytical thinking, innovation, and practical application. Through modern classrooms and well-equipped laboratories, students gain hands-on experience using industry-relevant hardware, software, and technological tools that enhance their learning experience and strengthen their technical capabilities.

In addition to academic development, the programme places strong emphasis on communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and other transferable skills that are essential for both university studies and future professional careers. This balanced approach ensures that students are well prepared to transition into their chosen bachelor's degree programmes with confidence and a strong academic foundation.

Upon successful completion, graduates are equipped with the knowledge, practical skills, and learning competencies required to pursue undergraduate programmes in engineering, information technology, computer science, multimedia, and other science and technology-related fields.
