Diploma in Sports Management

Course Overview

The Diploma in Sports Management at Management & Science University (MSU) Malaysia is a 2.5-year programme designed to equip students with the knowledge and practical skills needed to pursue careers in the sports industry. The programme focuses on key areas of sports management, coaching, sports practices, marketing, and the business operations of sports organisations.

Students develop an understanding of how sports organisations operate while learning to apply management concepts, current industry trends, and emerging technologies to the sports sector. The programme combines theoretical learning with practical activities through assignments, written assessments, practical examinations, weekly practical sessions, group projects, and presentations. This approach helps students build both professional and practical skills relevant to the dynamic sports industry.

Upon completion, graduates can pursue opportunities in areas such as sports marketing, event management, sports administration, sports analytics, and other sports-related management roles.

Entry Requirements

Applicants are required to meet one of the following:

• SPM: A pass in SPM with at least 3 credits in any subjects, or an equivalent qualification.

• Applicants with other qualifications, such as UEC, Foundation, STAM, or equivalent certificates, may also be considered. They should contact MSU educational consultants or submit an application for an admission assessment.
