The nursing profession is becoming increasingly complex, with healthcare professionals facing growing challenges in managing a wide range of illnesses and patient outcomes. As a result, career opportunities in critical care nursing continue to grow. The Critical Care Nursing programme is designed to strengthen graduates’ knowledge and clinical skills, with a strong focus on delivering safe and high-quality patient care.
Critical care nurses work in healthcare settings that provide specialised care for seriously ill patients, including intensive care units, cardiac care units, telemetry units, progressive care units, emergency departments, and recovery rooms. Nurses working in this field must demonstrate confidence, emotional resilience, and the ability to remain focused and professional when caring for patients in critical and highly stressful situations.
Must be registered with the Nursing Board Malaysia.
Candidates with certain medical conditions, including HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, mental health disorders, epilepsy, or colour blindness, are not eligible for admission to the programme.
For other qualifications and certificates, such as UEC, Foundation, STAM, or equivalent qualifications, please contact the university’s educational consultants or submit an application for an admission assessment.
