Master of Physiotherapy

Course Overview

The Master of Physiotherapy at MAHSA University is a postgraduate programme designed to help qualified physiotherapists advance their clinical knowledge, professional skills, and expertise in specialised areas of physiotherapy. The programme is available full-time for one year or part-time for two years, with students choosing a specialisation in either Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy or Neurology.

The programme combines advanced theoretical knowledge with clinical practice and research, using teaching methods such as case studies, problem-solving activities, practice-based learning, peer support, and blended learning. Students develop advanced clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice skills to manage complex physiotherapy conditions. Clinical placements are provided through MAHSA’s panel hospitals, while the university’s Physiotherapy Research Laboratory offers specialised equipment for clinical training and research.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• A Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6 MQF) or equivalent in a related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.50, as accepted by the university.

• Applicants with a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with a CGPA below 2.50 may be considered if they have at least five years of relevant work experience.

• English proficiency for international students: IELTS 5.0 or an equivalent recognised qualification.
