The Master of Nursing at MAHSA University is an advanced postgraduate programme designed to develop highly skilled nursing professionals and prepare them for specialised practice, leadership, and advanced roles within the healthcare sector. The programme places a strong emphasis on evidence-based practice and research, enabling graduates to strengthen their clinical expertise and contribute to the continuous improvement of healthcare services.
Throughout the programme, students will gain a broader understanding of healthcare systems and examine the nursing profession from both local and global perspectives. Key areas of study include nursing policies and healthcare governance, workforce and professional practice, healthcare financing and economics, as well as concepts of health and illness. Students will also explore the expectations of individuals, families, and communities regarding the quality, safety, and delivery of healthcare services.
The programme encourages students to develop critical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership skills to effectively respond to the evolving healthcare needs of different populations. Through discussions, debates, seminars, and presentations, students will engage with current issues affecting nursing and healthcare within an interactive and dynamic learning environment.
Graduates will be equipped with the knowledge and professional competencies needed to lead and support healthcare teams through creative, innovative, and interdisciplinary approaches. They will be prepared to contribute to comprehensive, safe, and evidence-based nursing and healthcare practices while taking on greater professional responsibilities.
The Master of Nursing also provides a strong academic foundation for graduates who wish to pursue doctoral studies and further specialise in areas related to their nursing interests.
