Master of Medical Science (Anatomy)

Course Overview

The Master of Medical Science (Anatomy) at MAHSA University is primarily designed for students who intend to pursue doctoral-level studies, such as a PhD, MD, or an equivalent qualification.

The programme provides comprehensive training in research methodologies, academic writing, and scholarly publication. Students undertake intensive study and research in selected areas of anatomy, culminating in the preparation and defence of a thesis based on original research.

The programme includes a comprehensive oral examination covering the core areas of anatomy, as well as a written scholarly project focusing on a contemporary topic within one of the various sub-disciplines of anatomy.

Students also have opportunities to develop essential laboratory skills used in anatomical research and may participate in teaching undergraduate or postgraduate courses within the department. This combination of research and academic experience helps prepare graduates for further studies and careers in education and scientific research.

Entry Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Zoology, Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, or Health Sciences from a recognised university, with a minimum CGPA of 3.00.
