Diploma in Physiotherapy

Course Overview

The Diploma in Physiotherapy at MAHSA University is a three-year programme designed for students who have completed SPM or an equivalent qualification and aspire to pursue a career in physiotherapy. The programme focuses on developing students’ knowledge and practical skills in preventing, managing, and rehabilitating physical conditions that affect body function and mobility.

Students learn how to help patients improve their movement, strength, flexibility, and physical independence while providing appropriate care and rehabilitation for individuals experiencing physical or psychological challenges. The programme covers a broad range of subjects, including anatomy, physiology, behavioural science, exercise therapy, electrotherapy, kinesiology, and communication skills, preparing students to interact effectively with patients and provide appropriate guidance and support.

Entry Requirements

SPM / Equivalent Qualification

• Pass SPM or an equivalent qualification, with a pass in Bahasa Melayu and English, and obtain five (5) credits in the following:

  • Mathematics

  • One (1) Science subject: Biology, Physics, Chemistry, General Science, or Applied Science

  • Any other three (3) subjects, including Bahasa Melayu and/or English if credits are obtained

SPM applicants must also pass Bahasa Melayu and History.

Applicants with other qualifications, such as UEC, Foundation, STAM, or equivalent certificates, are advised to contact the university’s educational consultants or submit an application for an admission assessment.
