Diploma in Pharmacy

Course Overview

The Diploma in Pharmacy at MAHSA University Malaysia is designed to equip students with the knowledge and practical skills needed to become competent pharmacy assistants in a variety of healthcare and pharmaceutical settings. The programme introduces students to essential areas such as medication use, human physiology, and pharmacy services provided in hospitals and community pharmacies.

Students will study key aspects of pharmacy practice, including pharmacy terminology, medication prescriptions, pharmaceutical procedures, and inventory management. In the final year, students gain valuable hands-on experience through practical placements in community pharmacies, health clinics, and hospitals, allowing them to develop a better understanding of pharmacy operations and the responsibilities involved in supporting pharmacists.

Upon completion, graduates will be prepared to work as qualified pharmacy assistants across a range of pharmaceutical and healthcare environments.

Entry Requirements

SPM

• Pass SPM with three (3) credits, including one Science subject such as Biology, Physics, Chemistry, or General Science (Sains Am), along with two (2) other subjects.

• Candidates planning to progress to the Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) are required to obtain a minimum of five (5) B grades at SPM level or equivalent, including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics/Additional Mathematics, and one other subject.

• Applicants with other qualifications such as UEC, Foundation, STAM, or equivalent certificates may also be considered. For further information, applicants are advised to contact an educational consultant or submit an application for an admission assessment.
