Diploma in Dental Technology

Course Overview

The Diploma in Dental Technology at MAHSA University is a three-year programme designed to prepare students for careers as skilled dental technologists in dental laboratories, clinics, hospitals, and other oral healthcare settings. The programme combines theoretical knowledge with extensive practical training, enabling students to develop the skills required to design, construct, repair, and maintain various dental prostheses and appliances.

Students receive training in areas such as dental materials, complete and removable partial dentures, fixed prosthodontics, crowns and bridges, orthodontic appliances, maxillofacial prostheses, tooth carving, dental laboratory techniques, repair and maintenance, infection control, and clinical laboratory practice. The programme also introduces students to dental ethics, oral health services, patient education, safety procedures, and dental laboratory management.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• SPM / O-Level: Pass with five credits, including Bahasa Melayu, Mathematics, Science, and two other subjects.

• Other Qualifications: Equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) or the Malaysian Government may also be considered.
