Course Overview

The Diploma in Accounting at MAHSA University is a two-year programme built for SPM graduates (or holders of an equivalent qualification) who are looking to launch a rewarding career in accounting — a discipline that underpins every business, regardless of industry.

Throughout the programme, students engage with core subjects essential to the accounting profession, covering accounting principles and practice, accounting software, and business computing. They will also develop a solid grasp of financial and management accounting, taxation, business financing, and other fundamental areas of business operations.

By the time they graduate, students will be capable of preparing financial statements, forecasting and managing budgets, filing personal income tax returns, and setting up customised accounting systems for small enterprises. Ultimately, the programme equips them with the practical knowledge and skills needed to succeed as accounting executives or office professionals within the business and accounting industries.

Entry Requirements

STPM

• A minimum grade of C (CGPA 2.0) in any subjects, with a credit in Mathematics and a pass in English at SPM level
