Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons)

Course Overview

The Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons) is a four-year programme accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), designed to provide students with the essential knowledge and practical skills required for a professional career in pharmacy. Throughout the programme, students develop a strong understanding of medicines, including human physiology, the effects of drugs on the body, and the principles of medicine development and design.

Students will also gain practical exposure to the professional practice of pharmacy through placements supported by the university’s extensive network of pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, and community pharmacies. In the fourth year, students further develop their research abilities by completing a supervised research project in an area of pharmacy aligned with their interests.

The programme also emphasizes communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, enabling students to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals while developing the adaptability needed to respond to changes and challenges throughout their professional careers.

Entry Requirements

STPM

• Minimum CGPA of 3.00 with grades BBB/ABC/AAC in three (3) subjects: Biology, Chemistry, and Physics/Mathematics, including a minimum Grade B in Chemistry.
