Bachelor of Information Technology (Hons)

Course Overview

MAHSA University's Bachelor of Information Technology (Hons) is a three-year program shaped by input from a panel of experts and accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA). Students choose from four specializations — Data Management, Game Computing, Mobile Computing, or Network Computing — allowing them to tailor their studies toward the knowledge and technical skills most relevant to their career goals.

The program runs across seven semesters, with industrial training taking place at the end of Year 3, Semester 2. Upon completing this training, students submit a report, while industry partners evaluate and provide feedback on their on-the-job performance. This training component is essential for fulfilling MQA accreditation requirements and gives students hands-on experience documenting technical work and projects. Alongside advanced theoretical and practical knowledge, the program also introduces students to strategic planning and project management.

In the final year, students complete a research project that emphasizes research, development, and commercialization. This component strengthens both the academic and applied sides of their field of study while sharpening independent learning skills. Through it, students build advanced critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities — all of which boost their employability after graduation.
