Course Overview

The Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences (Hons) at MAHSA University is a four-year programme designed for students interested in building careers in biomedical research, diagnostics, and the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. The programme provides students with a broad understanding of biomedical sciences while developing the practical and analytical skills required for professional and research-based roles.

Throughout the programme, students explore a wide range of subjects, including biology, chemistry, physiology, pharmacology, statistics, genetics, immunology, molecular and cellular biology, pathology, histology, haematology, epidemiology, toxicology, and neuroscience.

Graduates can pursue diverse career opportunities across the biomedical and healthcare sectors, including roles as biomedical scientists, health specialists, health educators, pathologists, laboratory technicians, pharmacologists, microbiologists, environmental scientists, and other professionals within related fields.

Entry Requirements

STPM

• Pass STPM, Matriculation, Pre-University, or an equivalent qualification with a minimum GPA of 2.33 in two (2) of the following subjects: Biology, Physics/Mathematics, and Chemistry.

• Applicants with other qualifications such as UEC, Foundation, STAM, or equivalent certificates may also be considered. For further information, applicants are advised to contact an educational consultant or submit an application for an admission assessment.
