Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D)

Course Overview

The Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) at the University of Cyberjaya is a two-year full-time postgraduate programme designed for pharmacy graduates who want to develop advanced clinical and professional expertise. The programme focuses on clinical pharmacy, medication therapy management, disease-state management, patient care, and pharmaceutical consultation.

Students develop advanced skills in areas such as pharmacotherapy, clinical pharmacokinetics, pharmacy practice, evidence-based practice, infectious diseases, oncology, critical care, and specialised patient populations. The programme also includes extensive clinical training through placements in hospitals, clinics, community pharmacies, and pharmaceutical settings, allowing students to apply their knowledge in real healthcare environments.

The programme combines classroom-based learning, clinical clerkships, research, and practical training. Students complete compulsory clerkships in areas such as internal medicine, paediatrics, infectious diseases, and critical care, while elective clerkships allow them to explore areas such as oncology, psychiatry, geriatrics, nuclear pharmacy, and ambulatory care.

Entry Requirements

Applicants are required to have a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy with:

• A minimum CGPA of 2.50 or equivalent, as accepted by the university; or

• A Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.00, subject to a rigorous internal assessment.
