Diploma in Pharmacy (DIPHARM)

Course Overview

The Diploma in Pharmacy at the University of Cyberjaya is a three-year programme designed to prepare students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to work in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. The programme focuses on pharmacy practice, medication preparation and dispensing, pharmacology, pharmaceutical sciences, and patient care.

Students study areas such as human anatomy and physiology, pharmaceutical calculations, chemistry, pharmacology, microbiology, pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical analysis, hospital pharmacy, community pharmacy, and public health. The programme also develops students' practical abilities through laboratory-based learning and training in hospitals, community pharmacies, clinics, and pharmaceutical industries.

The programme has a strong practical and industry-oriented focus, with students completing hospital pharmacy training and industrial training in their final year. This experience prepares graduates for roles such as pharmacy assistants and pharmacy technicians and provides an opportunity to continue their education, including progression to the Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons) subject to the required entry conditions.

Entry Requirements

Applicants can enter the programme through several recognised qualifications:

• SPM: Pass with at least 3 credits in any subjects and a pass in English.

• O-Level: Pass with at least Grade C in 3 subjects and English.

• UEC: Pass with at least Grade B in 3 subjects and a pass in English.

• STPM: Pass with at least Grade C (GPA 2.00) in one subject.

• STAM: Pass with a minimum grade of Maqbul.

• SKM Level 3: Pass in a related field, together with at least one SPM/equivalent credit.

• Certificate: A relevant Level 3 MQF Certificate or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.00.
