Foundation Programme (Engineering Route)

Course Overview

The Foundation Programme (Engineering Route) at Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU), Malaysia is a 12-month preparatory programme designed for students who have completed SPM, IGCSE, O-Levels, or equivalent qualifications. The programme provides students with the essential academic knowledge, technical competencies, and practical skills required to successfully progress into the first year of their chosen undergraduate engineering degree.

Throughout the programme, students are introduced to the fundamental principles of engineering, mathematics, physics, and applied sciences, enabling them to develop a strong academic foundation while exploring their interests in various engineering disciplines. This comprehensive preparation allows students to make informed decisions about the degree programme that best aligns with their academic strengths and long-term career goals.

The programme also offers flexibility by allowing students to choose progression pathways based on their interests, providing a seamless route into a variety of engineering degree programmes offered at APU and other related technical fields.

Entry Requirements

SPM

Applicants must have obtained 5 credits in at least 5 subjects at SPM level, including a credit in Mathematics and Physics, Chemistry, or Technical Science, together with a minimum pass in Bahasa Malaysia and Sejarah (History).

Applicants holding other qualifications or certificates, such as UEC, Foundation, STAM, or equivalent qualifications, are encouraged to contact the university’s educational consultants or submit an application for an admission assessment.
